Power steering fluid - amount?
Doing rebuild on my car and was curious if someone knows roughly the correct amount of psf the ZT will need once filled and bled out etc.
Cheers folks.

I think it's about 500 - 600 ml of Dextron III.
I replaced bit by bit by sucking fluid from reservoir (using pela type pump), topping up then running engine and power steering lock to lock to get fluid moving around system. Then repeated. I used around 850ml by this method until I thought it was clean enough. Feels a little smoother, but was OK before I thought. No harm in replacing I think. I think draining everything and then refilling might cause an air lock, so safer to do this way, I believe. |

I'd recommend using Easibleed, so you'll need more than the vehicle's capacity in order to fill the supply bottle. Buy at least 500 ml. You'll be surprised how fast you get through it when the air bubbles start to appear. Simon

'Take the bottom cooler pipe connector off let it drain, lock to lock the car several times (manually), blow into the reservoir that will get the majority out, replace the connector, top up the system lock to lock (manually) then start the engine, top up, then repeat the procedure.' I used a 1 litre bottle of PAS fluid. |
