Default Changing the front brake calipers

I need to change both front brake calipers due me snapping the bleed valves of both sides of the exsisting ones, is it just a case of disconnect the brake hoses, clamp them up, repalce the calipers, reconnect the hose and then bleed the system? or is there anything else I need to consider?

Sounds about right.............although I'd clamp the hoses before disconnecting them.

Also fill the new calipers with brake fluid so you have less bleeding to do.

Clamp before disconnecting. Cling film over reservoir too for me. Use lots of plusgas or similar releasing fluid. As you have already found out the brake materials can be soft 😏

Other than that then yes that is all there us to it.

Default Brake Caluiper

I would also get a golf bat or something similar, and depress the brake pedal, and keep it depressed during the change by moving seat forward, to wedge it down then strip down calliper, remove spring and pins, clamp rubber flexi pipe, then remove caiiier and brake pads, then using a 15mm brake spanner undo nut between flexi and calliper, might be worth soaking that nut in penetrating fluid for a hour or so, as will be very tight, get nut moving, then remove the two x 15mm bolts holding on calliper

That how I do mine, picked it up from a very experienced mechanic
