Standard head unit, speaker upgrade?
Hi again.
Just wanted to ask. My 75 CDT still has the original tape head unit + CD changer located in the glove box. I'd prefer to leave it alone to be honest, as I'm quite keen on keeping things original, but the sound is quite tinny. Just wondered if it might be worth trying better speakers. Or would that just be wasting money. Interested to know if anyone has had any good results doing this. |

Andy, I've moved your thread into the ICE section for greater coverage.

Better speakers would do no harm, see if you can pick up a set of Harmon kardon, I did and they made a good difference. Plus its a straight swap.

Certainly worth an upgrade.
Other than the Harman Kardon speakers Alan mentioned any 165mm or 170mm component speakers will fit. Same size for rear but usually full range as opposed to components. If you care to look in my traders shop on here we do have some worthwhile speaker upgrades available
