Windows screen resolution
I’ve tried many things to try and resolve this, but none seem to work. Here’s the problem:
I’ve downloaded TOAF (not the problem), however when I open it on a notebook running Windows 10 the window fills the screen but the bottom all important ‘Connect to car’ button is off the bottom of the screen. Can’t be dragged up. I’ve tried changing the resolution (the only options I have is either default 1024x600 or 800x600) and neither work. I cannot alter the window size as there is no option to do so (right click or moving to and edge doesn’t allow the usual double arrow to appear). Next option, install on an old note book with Windows 7, same problem. If I connect either computers to a monitor and use the ‘mirror’ screen option, exactly the same issues arise, however change to ‘extend’ screen and the full TOAF window appears centre of screen (monitor resolution defaults to 1920x1080) and all the bottom buttons appear and work. Anyone got an idea how to fix, apart from carrying the monitor to the car and connecting it up or buying a laptop with a bigger screen? Technology, ugh! |

Have you had a try with the free Android app on a phone?
On my 5" LG it works a treat and everything is legible.

I tried it on an old Android phone I have lying around and yes it connected without too much problem. Fixed my sun roof which ‘bounced’ back open for years, enabled rain sensor. Tried to code the PDC module, no luck with that. I read the BCU to clear any faults, didn’t touch the window settings, got a BCU ‘error’ message and now the widows have lost the ‘one shot’ up/down option. Too many things to tinker with, which I’m not going to do. If I ever get the full version running on a laptop it may be better, for now I’ll leave well alone and be happy with my rain sensor working!!
