Hi Mark.
It's spring loaded, how did you get the belt off in the first place?

You need to get the ring spanner on it an aviation spanner is best slightly ground down to fit into the gap, some use a wooden wedge to stop it coming off the pulley.

Route the belt correctly and make sure it goes over the crank pulley last, sometime you need to turn the pulley which then pulls the belt on.

Pull the spanner anti-clockwise to aid with the tension.
