I did look on ebay but cdnt find any and I did buy the Europe discs from there 4 years ago.
The 'standard' (original drive aka Mk3) was a CD reader and those disc updates have not been available for quite some years now. The Mk4 DVD reader version looks almost identical but will/should have 'DVD' printed boldly in white on the front casing. At the moment discs purchased off Rusty are bang up to date and include a built-in maps perspective view option. If your head is the original (Alpine?) OEM unit the image/screen is 4:3 aspect ratio. I have a BMW 'wide screen' 16:9 head fitted (also plug 'n play) so get the benefit of the larger display.
