Juddering and cut out

Yesterday all of a sudden when it was driving perfectly well! My 1.8t started juddering under acceleration and cut out at 70mph…
I switched it off and restarted and it ran perfectly for a few more miles and then did it again. This time taking a few attempts to start and then ran perfectly enough to get it home!
Any ideas where I start with this? Coil pack etc? Where is best to get this from if required.

A diagnostic session should reveal whether or not an ignition coil is breaking down.

The other possibility is "fuel filter syndrome". Search for FFS or "orange clip" for further information.

I would suggest a diagnosis with the correct t4 machine

If you do need a new coil, I'd recommend DMGRS.

But as Dave & Simon have said, best to start with the diagnostic computer
