Radio Security Code
I've just finished putting back the harmony head unit and CD player so I sell the car. The head unit has sat in a draw for 2 years now but didn't require the security code. Most odd, didn’t seem very secure to me.

It was optional as to whether the code was enabled or not at PDI.

If it was decided not to use a code they would still prvide one?

Harmony have a code, it's just that yours has not been activated.
You can activate it by pressing and holding the radio tuning 'UP' button whilst switching on by pressing the volume button, the display will show 'Code Enabled' But make sure you have the code first!!! |

I didn’t' know it had to be activated. Perhaps whoever bought the car new realised that tapes would be of little use in the future and therefore thought nobody would nick it.
I've always thought it odd how now dash cd unit was made. |
A dash mounted single cd player was an option.
